The Cré’Alters
The Cré’Alters is a French non-profit association founded in 2010. This association aims to promote and establish links between “Creators of alternatives”, men and women who carry ideas and initiatives supporting sustainable development and social economy in France as in different parts of the globe.
The association informs the public about these initiatives and theirs participants, through fun and innovative reports; create links between these people; raise awareness on these issues; encourages people to take action in this field, and supports new reporters willing to work on this topic.
The association works with dynamic volunteers with varied profiles: travellers, students, video engineers, webmasters…
The Project
The project “U.S.A., Objective Alternative Solutions” is to produce and show a video documentary highlighting new initiatives and alternatives experiences of sustainable development in the United States.
From April to August 2011, the two founders of the association’s Cré’Alters, Florian Jehanno and Pauline Olivier, 25 years old, cross the US to meet American people , associations, cooperatives and social enterprises, for example: urban agriculture, local exchange systems, ethical trade, green building… These initiatives have all in common to propose innovative solutions to response to today’s environmental, social, economic and democratic issues.
Raising awareness, proposing ideas, creating new vocations, opening an original window on the U.S.A, pooling practices, these are the objectives of this project.
